DAVENPORT, IA: January 14, 2025 - The Putnam Museum is continuing its Travel Series in 2025 with a trip to Greece and the Greek Isles from September 29th to October 11th. Following the success of their 2024 Egypt trip, this year’s itinerary includes visits to ancient sites like the tomb of Agamemnon, the Temple of Zeus, and the original Olympic Games Arena, as well as leisure activities such as beach lounging and shopping in Mediterranean markets. The trip also features a 7-day cruise with stops on popular islands like Mykonos and Santorini.
Preparation for the trip includes a series of meetings at the museum, with the next one on March 12th, focusing on Greek History and Art. Participants will have the chance to learn about ancient Greek artifacts ahead of the trip. Those interested can sign up through the museum’s website.
Looking ahead, the museum is already planning future travel opportunities for 2026, with details expected to be announced annually in December.
